I'm thinking about getting har transplant, can it still grow after u get it?

my hair is okay but i'm frustrated with the frizzy and perm broke out my hair.

I'm thinking about getting har transplant, can it still grow after u get it?

why would you get a hair transplant if the hair is just broken off from a perm? Hair translplants are for people who have permanent hair loss due to heridity. Your will grow back.

For those who do get hair transplants, yes the hair does grow. The follicle is moved from a donor part of the scalp to the area of the scalp that is bald. Once the transplant takes root, and gets a blood supply to the follicle, it begins to grow. You have to get your hair cut and style it like any normal hair

I'm thinking about getting har transplant, can it still grow after u get it?

i believe so, because they transfer the entire folicle.

Hair Loss in men any remedies except hair transplants?

Arbonne has a great product for thinning hair called Thermal Fusion. My fiance has been using it for about a month, and it really works! Please email me if you have any questions about it! alee1076@sbcglobal.net

Hair Loss in men any remedies except hair transplants?

Hi There,

Hair re-growth without a transplantation surgery is possible but likely. Or rather, it's more difficult to do effectively. Aside from restoration surgery your best options to regrow lost hair are Propecia and Rogaine (or Minoxidil). Propecia is proven to prevent your hair from falling out and Rogaine is proven to prevent hair from falling out and in some cases - regrow lost hair. That said, Rogaine has to be applied daily and their are some side effects; Propecia on the other hand has a plethora of potential side effects.

I opted for a hair restoration from Bosley back in July and couldn't be happier with the results. Myself and another guy (Torrance) blog about our hair restoration at BattleAgainstBald.com. In addition to showing pictures and video of our hair restoration results we also provide a wealth of information on hair loss and all the other methods used to correct it.

Check out the blog, as I'm sure it will answer all of your questions.

Best,

Seth

A hair loss remedy that works is profinast. It is a herbal alternative to finasteride, the prescription drug that stops hair loss.

Hair Loss in men any remedies except hair transplants?

Excessive hair loss is very common. A person can lose 40-60 hair strands daily due to tiredness, stress, pollution, hormonal fluctuations, seasonal changes or pregnancy. The result: a nutrient-deprived scale with unhealthy hair roots.

But there's good news! Studies show that hair loss can be prevented and treated, according to Kristin Tiongco, a Kerastase consultant. Treatment won't make hair grow faster, but it can slowly revitalize hair roots for new hair to sprout again.

Treat your starving scalp with Aminexil GL. This serum has gluco-lipids (GL), which nourish the roots for a thicker and stronger mane. Apply the serum deep into the scalp and massage thoroughly.

Hair Transplant surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Why do Men have hair transplants, comb overs and Just For Men....?

When girls keep on saying Bald is sexy and flecks of grey are sexy, why do men want to hide their baldness and dye thier grey hairs?

Why do Men have hair transplants, comb overs and Just For Men....?

becuase women are lying, just like we are when we say "no you don't look fat"

Why do Men have hair transplants, comb overs and Just For Men....?

Why do Men have hair transplants, comb overs and Just For Men....?

coz there just vain really!

Why do Men have hair transplants, comb overs and Just For Men....?

Becuase it doesn't look good on all men. And, to me, not all bald is sexy. Some men are better off taking care of their hair, and it makes them feel sexy, acting youthful and what not.

Why do Men have hair transplants, comb overs and Just For Men....?

Because most men don't look like richard gere, clint eastwood, or jean luc picard man.

Why do Men have hair transplants, comb overs and Just For Men....?

I have NO idea.

Why do Men have hair transplants, comb overs and Just For Men....?

I agree. Baldness or grey doesn't bother me. Dyed hair and comb overs do!

Why do Men have hair transplants, comb overs and Just For Men....?

its theyre own style like me i like my own hair long smooth shiny cause thats what i like

Why do Men have hair transplants, comb overs and Just For Men....?

I don't think bald is sexy. Yeah, I know men can't help eventual baldness if its inevitable, but worse is when they shave it all off and go for the Mitchell brothers look. And I think grey hair is aging, if its come about at a premature age. Dye it.

I realise I have just been extremely sexist. But laws of attraction apply..

Why do Men have hair transplants, comb overs and Just For Men....?

Because those women are lying.

They want a healthy youthful mate just as much as guys do.

Why do Men have hair transplants, comb overs and Just For Men....?

Vanity, shaving your head its one thing baldness implies aging a full head of hair implies youth......Although a plastic tuft stuck on someones head is really funny to spot....Society is driven in the public domain by looking young so keeping your hair helps....

Why do Men have hair transplants, comb overs and Just For Men....?

They feel they're losing their mojo.

Why do Men have hair transplants, comb overs and Just For Men....?

Why do Men have hair transplants, comb overs and Just For Men....?

Well, Other Boy, there are "men" out there who lack self-esteem and self confidence.. They are vain when it comes to their hairloss! Perhaps they don't want to be reminded that they're getting older and losing their hair..

Why do Men have hair transplants, comb overs and Just For Men....?

lol im just gonna shave it off when times comes but then iv always had army barber short, i guess most men use products and carefully placed hair coz they are tarts and still looking to achieve the vinigar stroke with some sexy person half their age, this is ok but i imagen for some once the false teeth are left hanging of a left side nipple it would be less embarassing to simple buy a bic razor and rather than discusise what they havent got shave what they have got including womans with moustaches.

Why do Men have hair transplants, comb overs and Just For Men....?

some men are just as vain as women self confidants i think me personally I'm grey and sexy...

Do hair transplants work. what about for a small area of alopecia?

why don't you go for a consultation with a trichologist and see what they say. hair transplants don't work for everyone,. it depends on the individual so see a specialist. Sometimes with alopeica the hair can grow back.

Do hair transplants work. what about for a small area of alopecia?

in response to Dee978603.

women are aweful candidtates for hair transplants. There is no area of you hair that is not genetically immune for thinning. Whereas the bank portion of a man's scalp rarely thins.

Also, many of these doctors will say what is necessary to generate a sale. Report It

Do hair transplants work. what about for a small area of alopecia?

for that, yes. but not if you are trying to cover a large area of skin. be careful because those things can go wrong. my wife knows of one guy who ended up with horn like bumps on his head due to a reaction to the surgery. if it is just a small area-leave it.

Do hair transplants work. what about for a small area of alopecia?

Hi.. I have androgenic alopecia... I'm sure what type you have, but I am meeting a doc in NY in October, who has seen some pictures and thinks ill be a good canidate. There are some many what ifs with female hair transplants. Your donor area has to have good counts per cm and its not guaranteed that the transplanted hair wont have the same fate as where you lost.

Id love to talk more to you, am posting a great support group I belong to, Please come by and visit, and good luck! There is alot of good women on here, who are going through the same thing.

Also- should you consider it. I would not recommend going to a doc just because they are local... do your research.. very important!!!! Have you been diagnosed? Tons of questions for ya!!!

Medical Tourism in THAILAND?

HI .. and THANKS for your help !!

I'm planning to travel to THAILAND in NOVEMBER to have a number of cosmetic procedures done. The procedures I am planning (in order of importance) are as follows.

1. Hair Transplant

2. Extensive Dental Work (implants, crowns, veneers)

3. Rhinoplasty

4. Liposuction

I would appreciate any advice you can give me regarding the following.

i. Best hospital for one or more procedures

ii. Best Doctors for one or more procedures

iii. Expected costs

iv. Recommended accommodation during Recovery Phase.

Thank you VERY much for any information you can share.

Medical Tourism in THAILAND?

Several publicly listted hospitals in BKK cater to "medical tourists".

Bumrungrad (access from Sukhumvit Sois 1 %26amp; 3) is one of the better ones althugh I do not have experience with the cosmetic procedures you mention.

As for dental work, Bumrungrad also has a dental clinic, but I recommend The Dental Hospital in Sukhumvit Soi 49 (opposite Villa Market), Tel +66 2 260-5000.

Medical Tourism in THAILAND?

Since I intend on living in thailand in the future. I have tried the Bangkok Dental Center on Ratchadapisek Road north of Downtown. Below is the link to the procedures, prices and number of visits and length of treatment, estimated.

http://www.bangkokdentalcenter.com/thail...

I have worked with Dr. Onusa Waleepitackdej DDS., MSc.,

but, just for cleanings and fillings. She is a prothetics dentist. I have also dealt with another dentist who has since left the center and both were cordial and spoke english well and understood english.

Here's the link describing each Dentists certification.

There are a few hospitals that have 4 star rooms for a reasonable price. The best I have heard about is Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok.

http://www.bumrungrad.com/Overseas-Medic...

I would suggest contacting them directly and emailing and talking to the particular doctor about each procedure.

The link below is a thai website listing many of the hospitals in Thailand.

Good luck.

Medical Tourism in THAILAND?

I have used Bumrungrad for physical therapy and medical doctors. I am there twice a week for treatment. I would rate them the best in Thailand. They also have wellness center and residence building. However, I was not pleased with the dental clinic. Although I only had cleaning done there, I was not satisfied.

Medical Tourism in THAILAND?

Most hospitals in Thailand will provide the service/treatment that you've listed.

Here's a list of hospitals that you might want to consider:

I have a receding hairline. Is there any treatment other than a hair transplant?

If not, are they expensive? And how reliable are they/good do they look?

I have a receding hairline. Is there any treatment other than a hair transplant?

My friend had the same problem. He got a prescription from his doctor for Rogaine. It worked really well.

It was kind of expensive because it wasn't covered by insurance (cosmetic).

I have a receding hairline. Is there any treatment other than a hair transplant?

have you thought about rogaine? it is something you have to commit to because once you stop using it all the hair that did grow will fall out again but, it might be worth it. also, look into hairclub for men...

I have a receding hairline. Is there any treatment other than a hair transplant?

You don't say how old you are. But it's just a matter of life that you will start losing your hair just after puberty. There is nothing much to do about it now.. it's already started.

It's not all bad news! You can find some hairstyles that will camouflage it a bit... but not for long! Don't ever do the comb-over!! Eventually, you will find that it's just the way you are... don't be in denial.

As it recedes further back, you will find a short hair style is best. In fact, if you have a good shape head, really short will look great. Some women find bald very sexy!

Get comfortable with who you are, not how you think you should look. You are the way you are... go with it, don't change it.

I have a receding hairline. Is there any treatment other than a hair transplant?

There is a shampoo and conditioner called Nioxin that may help with regrowth

I have a receding hairline. Is there any treatment other than a hair transplant?

rogaine is the only treatment besides hair transplant and while using it I suggest taking a multi-vitamins that contains folic acid and biotin and eat plenty of fish, meat, vegetavles and fish. avoid smoking and drinking alcohol.

21 years old and losing my hair?

I'm 21 years old and my hair is thinning and receding. When I was a teenager I had amazing hair, but now it's falling out. How much do hair transplants generally cost? Are there any other solutions for my hair loss problem?

21 years old and losing my hair?

the best solution is to live with it, as hair is useless anyway.

21 years old and losing my hair?

My fiance has been having the same problem. The Paul Mitchell line stimulates hair growth, and all you have to do is massage it into your scalp during a shower. It works wonders. It takes a few weeks to see the results, and it's a tad expensive, but it's still far cheaper than a transplant. You can buy it directly from your local hairdresser.

21 years old and losing my hair?

ooo! i know a kid who has this too! but he's in denial!

what about rogaine foam? It's around $30 for a three month supply. MUCH cheaper than hair transplant.

21 years old and losing my hair?

I would avoid getting transplants or toupees or anything. Just shave it bald.

21 years old and losing my hair?

Try rogaine. I hear hair transplants are expensive.

21 years old and losing my hair?

It's hereditary...accept it with pride.

It's only a "problem" because you've convinced yourself it's a problem.

21 years old and losing my hair?

Baldies are HOT! ;)

End of story.

...besides, less maintenance....

21 years old and losing my hair?

heeey my bro is losing his hair too at the age of 20! He is using this foam thing i forgot the name!

21 years old and losing my hair?

Just shave your head bald. My husband started losing his hair when he was 17. If you don't like the bald look then just get it cut as short as possible. The longer your hair, the more obvious the receding hairline is. Look at Michael Bolton for example. His new, short haircut makes his balding less noticeable.

21 years old and losing my hair?

Hair transplants are bullsh!t. It is actually a pretty crazy procedure. They remove hair follicles one at a time and transplant them to the balding areas. Doesn't seem that bad?? It leaves scars.

There will be surgical incisions that look like little x's all over your head from where they removed the hairs. That means if you cut your hair too short or shave it then you will be able to see all these hundreds of x's all over your scalp.

The vain idiots who do this will cover up the x's with a hairstyle that is long enough to cover them up.

Each hair you transplant is like $5 or $10 or something ridiculous like that. It gets very expensive considering you need hundreds of them cut out and moved to create a natural hairstyle/hairline.

Rogaine only works for as long as you use it. As soon as you stop using it, all progress or regrowth will disappear almost immediately. Do you really want to use their product forever?

You are better off just shaving your head bald or buzzing it very short.

People are making billions if not trillions of dollars off of people that are insecure with one thing or another about themselves. Don't add to the madness. Be happy with yourself. There are a lot of women who love bald men.

Do hair transplants work? how much do they cost %26amp; where is the best place to have it done?

Hi There,

To be completely honest, hair transplants do work. I had a restoration surgery back in July and couldn't be happier with my results. Since receiving the procedure from Bosley in Seattle, WA I have kept a blog called BattleAgainstBald.com. The blog details the results of my Bosley hair transplant and I also provide a wealth of information on hair loss and the other methods used to correct it.

I encourage you to check out BattleAgainstBald.com, as I'm sure the information there can answer all of your questions.

Best of luck!

Does hair transplants work?

The hair looks unnatural.

Does hair transplants work?

Yes and no. You will get hair, but, not neccessarily natural looking hair. Or, hair that does not match very well with pre-existing hair. Try Rogain and Propecia and leave it at that. Report It

Does hair transplants work?

i don't think so

......it's just a waste of time...

I am losing my hair. My hair is my bread and butter............?

I am willing to do whatever it takes to keep and even grow more hair. Money is no object when it comes down to the best solution maintaining and regrowing some of the hair that I have lost. I have heard of AVACOR, PROPECIA, ROGAINE,

HAIR TRANSPLANTS, ETC....................

WHAT IS THE BEST METHOD OUT THERE???????

WHAT REALLY WORKS???????????

HELP!!!

I am losing my hair. My hair is my bread and butter............?

A genetically-based remedy for hair loss may be the answer to a receding hairline, a US study suggests.

In experiments on mice, scientists at the University of Pennsylvania show that the skin of wounded animals can naturally regenerate hair follicles.

They also identified a gene that is essential for normal hair development, and were able to stimulate or stop hair growth by boosting or inhibiting the protein's activity at a molecular level, opening the way to noninvasive therapies.

The results have stunned many scientists, who have long assumed that mammalian hair follicles were a nonrenewable resource.

The human head comes equipped with approximately 100,000 of these tiny, hair-generating organs, and once they stop working, it was thought the scalp was doomed to gradual exposure.

The study, published in the journal Nature, is all the more surprising because it reproduces results observed 50 years ago in rabbits, mice and humans that were widely dismissed at the time and have been ignored since.

Lead author of the study, dermatologist Associate Professor George Cotsarelis, is also co-founder of a company Follica, which has licensed technology to develop hair-restoration treatments.

Bald mice

In the experiments on mice, the researchers found that removing a patch of outer skin or epidermis 1.0-2.5 centimetres in diameter "awakened stem cells" with the capacity to generate new hair follicles.

Once the healing was complete, the skin returned to its normal adult form.

"The new hair follicles grew, passed through the hair cycle, and eventually became indistinguishable from neighbouring hair," says Professor Cheng-Ming Chuong, a pathologist at the University of Southern California, in a commentary also published in Nature.

"These unexpected findings could change our current understanding of repair and regeneration in adult mammals," he says, while cautioning that human and mouse skin heal differently.

Molecular healing

To find out what was happening at a molecular level, the researchers used mice in which the bulge cells that generate hair were genetically labelled before the wounds were inflicted so that they could be traced.

Wounding activated the signalling pathway of a gene, called Wnt, which is essential for normal hair development.

When the scientists inhibited this pathway, it led to a substantial decrease in the number of new hairs.

But in mice whose Wnt activity had been artificially boosted, there was a "significant increase" in new hair follicles compared to normal mice, the study shows.

"This provides a window for manipulation of hair follicle neogenesis ... and treatments for wounds, hair loss and other degenerative diseases," the researchers conclude.

Regenerative medicine

Chuong sees even broader implications of the study.

"Regenerative medicine promises to identify natural healing powers and a shift from repair to regeneration," he writes.

"By simply altering the environment of stem cells during wound healing, future wounds might heal with appendages reformed."

As for hair loss reducing, I dont k now- she had scanty hair and it orked for her- not too expensive as hair products go- and you can always try the sample if your hair isnt very long

Do hair transplants look good and really work?

Just wondering if the process lasts and also how expensive?

Do hair transplants look good and really work?

I've heard they're very painful and expensive and from what I have seen they're detectable. So many men look good bald, if I were a man I would be confident bald and not worry about it.

Body hair to head hair transplants.?

Anyone heard of BHT transplants? No jokes please, as I am very hairy and want to move some to my scalp.

Body hair to head hair transplants.?

yes its possible

Body hair to head hair transplants.?

umm.. i've heard of it... but i think you should just go with a different approach. the hair that's transplanted may grow the same on your head... and the texture would be different making it look odd... =/

Body hair to head hair transplants.?

I do not know if they can do that. the texture of the hair is very different I do not think that it would blend well. the folicles are much bigger on your skin than on your scalp. sorry

Body hair to head hair transplants.?

Yes, The BHT is not the best way to go. It is best to get hair from the DONOR AREAS. These are the areas that contain the healthy hair follicles that are not affected by DHT( a hormone that causes most hair loss in males). The donor areas are mostly found on the head unless the patient has an unusable donor ares, in that case BHT is done. I found some good information about this at www.hairlossspecialists.com. I hope that this helps and good luck!

Men and losing hair, does it matter?

I can't help but feel so ugly because I am losing my hair. I used to be so attractive and now it is going. Is acceptance the best way. Buzz my hair. Hair transplants. What? All I know is I have been struggling with this for 10 years. I am obsessed about it. Girls, what do you think?

Men and losing hair, does it matter?

I don't think it matters, I actually have a thing for bald guys!!! But I think you should shave the whole thing, there's nothing worse than a guy in denial of his bald patch!!!

Men and losing hair, does it matter?

From a woman's prespective, I think bald men are very sexy. Please please please accept it and for goodness sake, don't do the comb over thing. Don't try to grow it to compensate. Best thing to do is shave it all off to say a grade 1. You'll be gorgeous!! Think of all those sexy baldies on the telly....The Mitchell brothers....mmmmmm

Men and losing hair, does it matter?

i read in an article that psychologically losing your hair can have a huge effect on you. it's like losing a limb!

in fact most women who were polled said they'd rather lose an arm than lose all their hair!

you could also try a wig if it's making you that uncomfortable.

i say shave it all off so you don't have to worry about it at all. that way it was all your choice and you can't blame it on genetics ;)

Men and losing hair, does it matter?

my daughter say's girls only like money not hair....

Hair transplants?

Does anyone have any personal experience, or know someone who has within the past 5 years? Were you or they happy with the results, or does it look fake and bad? I don't know anyone who has, but i see pictures they look good, but also realize these are 'best case' scenarios....I just want to hear from average people.

Hair transplants?

Hey man i got one 6 months ago and its looking great so far, i got on propecia right away and it stopped my hair loss, front hair is the best to get done, i wouldnt mess with the back, as far as the transplant, you want to get as many grafts as possible for your money i got 1500 for a little over 3 grand. i had to sacrafice a little bit and drive a shittier car and went out less but it was well worth it. dont go to no big place like bosley they will rip you off, what you need to do is go to every hair transplant doctor in your area and get prices, ask to see someone who had it done so you can see for yourself, the procedure itself aint bad, yo umight miss a day or 2 of work but youll be fine. good luck

Hair transplants?

Hair transplant surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called tour2india4health consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India.

Hope this helps.

Other than hair transplants, is there any product that will really grow hair?

Rogaine or generic equivalent (Minoxidol) has helped some people regrow hair. However, you must continue to use it, once you stop it...the hair falls out.

im sure there is

I have fine, limp hair...and not much of it... what can i do?

i have thin fine hair and alot of my hair falls out bc of stress...

im afraid bc thinning hair is hereditary.. my mother and father both have fine hair....i dye it black to give it a little bit of thickness but im not satisfied... I've heard of hair transplants, but thats probably not within my budget...and I dun't know want to go out buying all these creams shampoos and such wasting my money on things that i don't kno if theyll work for sure.. help any advice.

I have fine, limp hair...and not much of it... what can i do?

You can use a volumising shampoo and conditioner. This make s your hair appear thicker and gives it more body. I used to use an amla rinse as the final rinse on my hair and it used to make it thick and shiny.

I have fine, limp hair...and not much of it... what can i do?

I don't know where you live, but in South Africa we have a product called Tresseme... it works wonders, look in the range to see what you can find!!

I have fine, limp hair...and not much of it... what can i do?

use a conditoner that makes ur hair thick

I have fine, limp hair...and not much of it... what can i do?

If it gets worse see a hair specialist that uses laser to try and regrow hair.

In the meantime, try products to strengthen hair, look around there are alot of hair products available, and also try texturising and volumising spays and waxes.Blow drying hair and brushing with a round brush can add volume.

I have fine, limp hair...and not much of it... what can i do?

well one thing to avoide is straightening it the more you straighten it the more your hair looks thinner!.. try tonging it it gives it alot more body .. when you wash your hair use a volumising shampoo that leaves your hair lookin full and silky, i would reccomend v05 volume boost shampoo. then add volumising mousse and lastly tip your head down and use a blow dryer and blow dry upside down and run your fingers throught ur hair ! it works wonders

good luck :)

Losing hair, does anything out there ACTUALLY work?

I'm actually not losing any more hair it looks like, but the loss from years ago has still held up today and here's the catch... I'm only 21 :\

My hair looks like this guy below, just not painfully as obvious lol. Where he's got the two obvious missing patches of hair, I actually have hair, but it's obvious that in those two areas that my hair is 50 times thinner than the other areas of my head.

http://dale.bewley.net/camera/1999/11/25...

Is there anything that actually works aside from $500 hair transplants which I could never afford anyway? I haven't been keeping up to date with what works on the market in terms of propecia, rogaine, etc

Any tips/help's appreciated.

-Travis

Losing hair, does anything out there ACTUALLY work?

Well.. I have been confronted with the same problem but I am only 18 same part of my head only it is not yet as noticeable. Anyway I have been using propecia for about 8 months now and I am beginning to see results on the left side of my head. As funny as that sounds I am still waiting for results on my right side. So... if you've got the 70 bucks a month (ouch hurts doesn't it?) I would recommend giving it a try. The earlier you use it the better the results are. I guess that when the majority of you're hair falls out and the follicles close up this product become sort of useless. As for rogaine... it only work on those with typical male pattern baldness (meaning the hair in the back of your head) and it has a much lower success rate then propecia. But don't listen to me go ask your doctor, your gonna need the prescription anyway. Good luck to you man, and if all else fails at least we can be bald together :-). Here is a cheap place to buy it. And by the way Finasteride is the same damn thing just cheaper.

Losing hair, does anything out there ACTUALLY work?

NO! most men who go bald look good as the baldness suits them.

Losing hair, does anything out there ACTUALLY work?

My boyfriend has been losing his hair since he was in his late 20's. He uses the over the counter Rogaine, and says it does work, but you have to keep using it, because if you quit, you will lose what you gained. He uses the store brand, says it works as well as the name brand and is much less expensive. After seeing the guy's answer after mine, I remember he takes both propecia and rogaine.

Losing hair, does anything out there ACTUALLY work?

Propecia works but not very well for the frontal hair line. If I were you, I'd consider both Propecia and Rogaine in combination. There are generic forms of both so it shouldn't be too expensive. And F.Y.I. A hair transplant can cost anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000 for starters and most men need more surgery.

Losing hair, does anything out there ACTUALLY work?

Hi There,

Yes, there are treatments, other than hair transplantation, for hair loss. However, surgical hair restoration is the most effective for regrowing lost hair. Your two other options are Propecia and Rogaine. Proepecia is great for stopping future hair loss and in some cases, regrowing lost hair. Rogaine, on the other hand, does a little bit of both.

I had a hair restoration procedure done back in July and am very happy with the results. Mine was a Bosley hair transplantation. Since receiving the procedure I have kept a blog called BattleAgainstBald.com. The blog details the results of my Bosley hair transplantation and I also provide a wealth of information on hair loss and the other methods used to correct it.

I encourage you to check out BattleAgainstBald.com, as I'm sure the information there can answer a lot, if not all, of your hair loss and restoration questions.

Best of luck to you in your battle against bald...

Why is it that the media cannot accept pattern baldness?

Every day, there is a commercial telling me I need to get a hair transplant or tupee or rub stuff on my scalp or spray stuff on my head, and implying that I'm not OK as I am. As if I had a huge tumor or horrible disease... I mean really, what is the problem? Why can't I just let it be? Why should I be forced to do something about it? What if I like it just the way it is? What if I have plenty of confidence WITHOUT a five thousand dollar operation or a two thousand dollar tupee???????

Why is it that the media cannot accept pattern baldness?

I don't know my husband is bald and I love bald men or balding men as long as they leave the combover alone and please no tupees.

Why is it that the media cannot accept pattern baldness?

Whether it's male pattern baldness, toe fungus, ED or whatnot, we will not go easy into middle age

Why is it that the media cannot accept pattern baldness?

Baldness freakin' rules. I shaved my head for a couple months, and dude, people with hair have no idea what they're missing. That breeze is bloody amazing.

Why is it that the media cannot accept pattern baldness?

Nobody is forcing you to listen to the commercials or to do anything about your bald head.

Frankly, I prefer to see a bald head than one with a single strand of mile long hair wrapped around the head.

Girls , does it account?

i want to make a hair transplant and it will costs , also i want to go to gym to have a better body also i have seliolet and i want to treat it

is that account for you ? i hear always that women are not visual

and women says always that they are emotional and they look only for personality , eyes , smile in man ( as women saying) so is that mean that it is not important to take care about my shape and body?

Girls , does it account?

make her laugh, make her feel comfortable, and just relax you do to your body to please yourself. Never lose yourself to someone else.

Girls , does it account?

just be urself

Girls , does it account?

dont get a hair transplant...go to the gym instead...bald guys are the in thing lately...chris daughtry is hot:)

Girls , does it account?

it is very important to take care of your shape and body for your own sake and not for girls. you live for yourself, why not live it nicely with a healthy mind and body. your mind is what your think and eat. be always cheerful and keep yourself and others happy by being good to one and all, in whatever way possible. automatically you will turn a handsome personality and girls will stand in queue to see you. go ahead.

What's best for a bald guy to do?

#1. The comb over

#2. A wig

#3. Shave the rest off

#4. Hair Transplant

#5. Do Nothing

What's best for a bald guy to do?

Do what makes you feel good. What matters is how you feel. Don't get your approval from others. But for me, it just depends on the guy. Not all guys look good with a shaved head. I have seen some hair transplants look awesome but it's costly. But for sure, don't do a comb over!!!!

What's best for a bald guy to do?

# 3

What's best for a bald guy to do?

Either shave it all off or cut it very short. Long looks weird, combover is greasy, and hair transplants are vain. You can take that course if u want, but people will think you are weird. dont wear a wig, they itch and fall off.

What's best for a bald guy to do?

Shave it off or keep it cut short. Bald isn't unattractive, its when a guy is so self absorbed that he thinks covering it up looks better!

What's best for a bald guy to do?

number 3 (like my brother) and wear a hat in the sun.

What's best for a bald guy to do?

Definelty # 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everytime i see a bald guy i always say to myself, please guy shave the rest off!!!!!!! It always looks way better!!

What's best for a bald guy to do?

do nothing a bald spot is solar panel for a sex machine

What's best for a bald guy to do?

Shave it off. bald older gentlemen are really sexy. I know this sounds weird, but if you shine it in some way after you shave it, it'll look really cute.

What's best for a bald guy to do?

SHAVE IT ALL OFF! its the best thing 2 do, my dad and uncle and other uncle are all

BALD.... dont worry they dont look half bad!

GOOD LUCK!

I'm considering plastic surgery...could a surgeon do all this?

I want a new, better-defined jaw line. A straighter nose. Hair transplant. Skin treatments on my face for acne (even though I don't have much acne), and maybe some lip implants of some sort to make my lips bigger. Also, if he could get rid of my slight double chin...

I'm considering plastic surgery...could a surgeon do all this?

Hi there-

I am a plastic surgeon in Houston and can say that the skin treatments for acne can be done with a variety of light chemical peels in association with some home skin care. The nose and chin can be done easily with a combination of rhinoplasty as well as a chin implant (the chin implant can help decrease you double chin). I would recommend having any active acne well under control before undergoing surgery to decrease the risk of infection.

The hair transplant is a different animal altogether. Most plastic surgeons do not do hair transplants, so be sure that the surgeon you choose does them regularly. Ask to see before and after photos of his patients. Be sure that he/she does the newer techniques of micrografts- grafting one or two hairs at a time. The older techniques of big plugs look unnatural and you will not be happy. Hair transplant surgery in itself is expensive and takes most of the day when done correctly. I would recommend first getting your acne under control by seeing an aesthetician that is associated with the plastic surgeon you choose. Secondly, I would address your nose and chin issues. After that has healed, I would go find a hair transplant specialist who the majority of his/her practice is hair transplant surgery. A good place to start is:

http://www.ishrs.org/

Good luck

I'm considering plastic surgery...could a surgeon do all this?

i hope u have atleast 30grand

I'm considering plastic surgery...could a surgeon do all this?

Its costly but yeah it can be done, they will add implants to your jawline with some kind of hard silicon to alter its shape. They will file your nose bridge down to change the shape, they might use hair plugs for your hair transplant I think and laser skin rejuvenation on your acne. Thats a lot of surgery so they won't do it all in one procedure.

Here's the link describing each Dentists certification.

http://www.bangkokdentalcenter.com/thail...

Should I shave my head, again, I used to have my head shaved while in the AirForce?

I used to have my head shaved while in the AirForce. I'm genetically balding, Dad's lost all his, and well I'm 24 now, and started my balding at 14 or so... yes it really started recedeing back then. Now I'm 24, I live in India at the moment, doing collage here. I'm originally from California. I'm Indian by birth but now I'm a US citizen. Erm... so here's the deal, my dad forced hair transplant Surgery on me. So I have a scar all allong the back of my head. It starts above one year swings low around the back of my head and then back above the other ear. Looks like a smily face. I'm more comfortable with my head shaved. The girls actually notice me more. An ex once told me that either I look super intelligent (with glasses) or I look very intimidateing (with shades(Oaklies)). This was me in the AF Last year. http://www.hotornot.com/r/?eid=ERNYRLO-D... So what should I do? It's a long story about me being forced, he never actually gave me a reason, of why he didn't like it.

Should I shave my head, again, I used to have my head shaved while in the AirForce?

I am a big believer to do what you feel comfortable it.. you mentioned before that you are comfortable with it that way - so why not.

Good luck with your studies and thank you for serving.

Hugs from a Loving Mom to a Brillant, as well as beautiful 8 year old Jared and Our Angel, Zachary (taken to soon but who will always remain in our heart) ~ Mel

Should I shave my head, again, I used to have my head shaved while in the AirForce?

I think a male sportin the bald look is attractive and the male do look sexy might I add. Just make sure the head is clean shaved and no nicks showing.

Is there a website to see an image of yourself with hair?

I am thinking of having a hair transplant and I was wondering if there was a website where you could upload a photo of yourself and add different styles of hair to see what you might look like after the transplant.

Is there a website to see an image of yourself with hair?

yes there is web site. but even i am searching

Is there a website to see an image of yourself with hair?

Hope this helps.

Why does Kenny Chesney (country music star) never take off his cowboy hat?

is it because he is bald and shy about it? many men look alright/are ok with being bald. why not him? he has alot of money....maybe a hair transplant????

Why does Kenny Chesney (country music star) never take off his cowboy hat?

I actually listened to an interview one time. He's not ashamed of being bald, he just feels as if hats are a part of him. If you'll notice, he doesn't always wear a cowboy hat. Sometimes, it's just like a baseball hat or something. He's always worn one, he says, so he feels as if it's a part of him.

Why does Kenny Chesney (country music star) never take off his cowboy hat?

The hat is his trademark.

Why does Kenny Chesney (country music star) never take off his cowboy hat?

He looks hot with or without the hat. Yes the hair could be an issue, but the hat is like his trademark....like Billy Ray Cyrus had the mullet...kinda like that...

Why does Kenny Chesney (country music star) never take off his cowboy hat?

He's bald.

Why does Kenny Chesney (country music star) never take off his cowboy hat?

He has an extra set of ears on the top of his head

Why does Kenny Chesney (country music star) never take off his cowboy hat?

Maybe its the only way he can be recognized as a "country" singer.

Why does Kenny Chesney (country music star) never take off his cowboy hat?

He doesn't want anyone to see his bald head.

Why does Kenny Chesney (country music star) never take off his cowboy hat?

yep. he's been bald since his early twenties!! he looks horrible without his hat, actually, so does tim mcgraw. both they both look pretty darn cute with the hats!!

Why does Kenny Chesney (country music star) never take off his cowboy hat?

Kenny Chesney does take off his cowboy hat. He isn't wearing a hat in several of his videos and lots of times you can see him in a baseball cap.

Why does Kenny Chesney (country music star) never take off his cowboy hat?

maybe it makes him feel taller???!!!

Why does Kenny Chesney (country music star) never take off his cowboy hat?

probley cuz he is bald i mean i have never seen him without a hat even when he isn't proforming.

Why does Kenny Chesney (country music star) never take off his cowboy hat?

it's because he's bald.

I think the hair transplant professionals of America must be wandering why Donald Trump had opted for a comb-over; could it be that his pocketbook would be dented and unlike Elton John perhaps he was trying to be the leader in funky comb-over hairdo as well..

Hey, do you know that Donald Trump is building another Trump tower here in King/Queen Street - just a walking distance.

Are blondes stupid by nature or nurture?

If you had a hair transplant to blonde, will you inherit lifelong stupidity??

Are blondes stupid by nature or nurture?

yes i will be wondering the rest of my life if 11 is read as eleventeen or onety one

Are blondes stupid by nature or nurture?

no. no. and uh...no.

blondes aren't even all stupid. [i'm not blonde--im brunette]

there was like one stupid girl who just HAPPENED to be blonde and now people make fun of all blonde girls.

Are blondes stupid by nature or nurture?

Ha ha. Kind of ironic that you're icon appears to be blonde.

There are smart blondes, you know. And stupid people that aren't blonde. George Bush, for example.

Are blondes stupid by nature or nurture?

i used 2 think not, but after i hung out with a few: yes.

Are blondes stupid by nature or nurture?

How funny. Look underneath and those dumb "blondes" are most likely brunettes. Find a true blonde and you have probably found an intelligent person.

I'm a natural blonde and I would bet that my IQ is at least 30 points higher than yours.

Are blondes stupid by nature or nurture?

Sorry.

Medical Tourism - Prices and Recommendations?

GREETINGS FROM CANADA,

I am visiting BKK for a month later this year and would like to have the following procedures done. Can anybody tell me APPROXIMATELY how much they would cost and what Hospital or Clinic is considered the best for each procedure.?

1.) LIPOSUCTION

2.) RHINOPLASTY (Nose Job)

3.) HAIR TRANSPLANT

4.) DENTAL WORK (Implants, Veneers, etc.)

Thanks very much for responding. YAHOO ANSWERS in the best thing I've ever found ONLINE. The only problem is that all I know is QUESTIONS ... not ANSWERS .... so I'm running out of POINTS!!!)

BEST WISHES,

MICHAEL

Medical Tourism - Prices and Recommendations?

For dental work, I use Assavant Clinic on the corner of Sukhumvit Road and Thong Lor... The equipt is up to date, the place is a little pricey for Bangkok but still 30% of what you might pay in Canada.. you can find cheaper, but they are good..

forget the lipo and hair transplant...

As to the rhino - - well, a poor man w/a big nose is ugly, a rich man w/a big nose is eccentric.. save your money.. And besides, Thai ladies don't really care that much abt looks.. good heart wins the day.. If you need more advice, contact me, I live here..

I'm 20 now and balding!?

I've been experiencing balding for about a year or less, and my primary concern is that my head will look like a bowling ball by the time I'm 30! What are some things that I can do to prevent and further loss and continue to grow more hair? What type of nutrients should I take to foster hair growth? Is hair transplant surgery an option yet? Thanks...

I'm 20 now and balding!?

"Grass does not grow on a busy street."

-- my husband

I'm 20 now and balding!?

Go to www.slybaldguys.com, it is the answer you are lookin for.

I'm 20 now and balding!?

Genes or some kind of sickness

Is your father bald? If so its genes.

Is your father not bald? if so its a sickness.

Do you think you have that kind of sickness?

Last advice is consult a doctor.

Do you want some home remedy? :

Juice an Aloe vera http://www.rosacea.uk.com/images/aloe%20... plant and put the sticky base in your head.

Hair growth chance - 2%

Proven by basic science.

Whant real results?

consult a doctor for a hair growth medicine.

end of discution.

I'm 20 now and balding!?

SUCKS to be YOU!

Terry and fern?

terry wogan get paid for doing children in need.... personally i think it paid for his hair transplant!! do you think fern gets paid as well?

Terry and fern?

Its hardly fair that the presenters get paid especially when they're presenting charitable causes. They should do it voluntarily.

Terry and fern?

haha possibly...

i prefer him doing the euro vision though... he's funny on that.

Terry and fern?

of course they get pain n i think its a bit of a cheek really but thats my opinion....apparently gabby roslin stopped doin children in need coz she wanted too much money to present the show...what can u do

Terry and fern?

i think that's bad for the presenters should be paid for something so important...they should donate all their wages to children in need, these are the important people, this is what it's all about...

Terry and fern?

yes def - of course they get paid. thats why i get so peed off with all this charity gumpf. until the likes of terry wogan and wealthy over paid footballs and bloody bono and geldof dig a little deeper, im not donating a penny!!

Terry and fern?

I don't know, but I always thought the celebrities did the show for nothing. Why should the public be the only ones to contribute, these people earn fortunes and their contribution should be their usual fees i.e. don't charge a fee.

Terry was quoted somewhere as stating "he didn't ask to be paid"... well don't take the bloody money then!!!!

It's about time he retired anyway!

Terry and fern?

I don't care, but Fern really gets on my t*ts.

Terry and fern?

Who says they get paid? How do you know he doesn't give this to Children in Need

and if they do surely this is more than off set by the amount they raise - Would people pay to see you? I doubt it

And Terry Wogan gives an awful lot for charities such as the british epilepsy association and others

as for Fern getting on someones t*ts, I love here to get on mine, I'd donate for that

STOP BEING SO MISERABLE AND GET A LIFE
