Scars and stretching after operation?

I am considering a hair transplant using the strip method (FUT), and understand that they cut out a strip of scalp from elsewhere on the head, then stretch the skin together and stitch it up.

My question is, will it forever be 'stretched' i.e. the scalp skin covering the same area with the strip removed, or does the skin grow back?

I ask because this is a situation where the skin is reduced in area, not just cut.

Thanks in advance.

i dont think anyone here can give you an honest answer...i do think you should ask your surgeon...even if you have been for your consultation...dont be frightened to ring back with further questions...i did when i had cosmetic surgery.

i wish you well with the op %26amp; hope you get great results...its scary but worth it!!

Dont really know babe....i was a hairdresser and a client of mine had, had a hair transplant...But you couldnt see if they had altered the skin!!!

I dont think you will see where the skin has regrown or knitted back together or the hair wouldnt grow properly....you would have a scarred patch!!! Ask your surgeon and Good Luck xx
