What can i do for thining hair?

im a 24 year old woman and i think my hair is thining. i have NOT died or highlighted it in over two years, i have given it a home perm in december but that has already washed out. i dont really have the money for surgery or hair transplant, im the only one who can notice it but it still bothers me. is there a good shampoo that works or maybe hormones. i dont really care to take rogaine. thank you

At your age there's something going on internally. Has something happened in your life recently to cause stress? Either go see you doctor or first try to take a good multi-vitamin, eat right, and drink water. Also try to handle your hair very gently when you wash it and dry it. Don't rub vigorously.

**don't discount the home perm in December the perm may be gone but the hair that was permed is still on your head.

for one, don't use conditioner... or only once in a while.

Avoid all Suave products. They are bad for your hair

Make sure you get your vitamin B's. Niacin is an important nutrient in keeping your hair. Most likely your hair is thinning from breakage, but you would be well advised to see your doctor and get a referral to a good dermatologist.

Do you clench your jaw a lot, or have a lot of stress? Make sure your scalp MOVES. Give it a good rub a couple times a day and really get it moving around. In a few weeks you should see some babyfine hair coming back in. Be gentle and it will feel quite good.
